Hello to all from the RV-ing Kenlons. This photo gives you a glimpse of our vehicle -- and Dan relaxing outside while our dinner cooks on the tabletop grill. We are greatly enjoying the change of pace and are learning a lot about things like water and sewer hook-ups and how cups of coffee left on the counter have a way of flying off when you're driving down the road at 60 mph!
Seriously, it's great and we find that we are readily adapting to this way of life. I'm really sorry we only have a couple of days left! We hope to camp near Hyde Park NY tomorrow so we can take in the FDR historic sites before we have to return the RV on Saturday morning. And the cat is doing great, too!
Hope to be hearing details soon about the two big school-related transitions in the family this month - Makenna starting kindergarten and Matt headed off to college!!!

While Mom would chuckle about posting this on a blog, she would frown and mumble at you going to the FDR museum!! I remember few nice things ever said about him!!

Dan looks pretty relaxed here, Anne. Glad you've had so much fun on this trip. As with Joe, my first thought about the FDR visit was Mother's reaction!!! These things just never leave the "backroads of our memory," do they!! I have been thinking about Gretchen's comments that an RV for Dan might need a few extra pull-outs and pop-ups to keep him comfortable. This model looks pretty compact!!! Thanks for posting, Anne!
You guys are so funny!!! As it turned out, we loved Vermont so much that we stayed an extra day -- we just got home (Sat. evening) after having left our Vt. campsite at 5:30 a.m. today, so will have to do the FDR museum on another trip. Yes, I know Mother would not approve, but do you remember her story about actually voting for him once? She pulled the wrong lever!
RVing was fantastic in every way. This particular model was indeed a lot smaller than any we would invest in for ourselves, but it really gave us a taste of what it's like, and we loved it!
Glad you're having fun, Anne. Enjoy the FDR museum, but I do think you'll get some disapproval from beyond. "The only thing we have to fear is ... Mother!"
