Hello all! I am getting my feet wet with this blogging thing, so bear with me. It has been a fun but short summer in the Eichstadt household. I am still playing vampire at the American Red Cross and enjoying it. Andrew is making block with Oberfield's and was recently promoted to the night shift Team Leader, while working some weekend shifts with Anheuser Busch.
This past Monday, our baby girl officially started her gig with school. Her Teacher's name is Mrs. Greulich, the kids call her Mrs. G for obvious reasons! She learned about Egypt, her favorite part of her school day is "moving my clip up" on her behavior color chart and her best friend at the moment is "Mo Mo Pickles". Mo Mo is an old friend from daycare that she was gleefully reunited with. Mo Mo is short for Morgan and my nosy self has still not found out if her last name could really be Pickles!
Here she is at her seat: And outside the school with her
"Disney Princess" backpack! Then, just in case Makenna hitting a milestone wasn't enough for my Mommy emotions, Quinn has officially turned 12 years old. We had a small celebration at home and here is a picture of Quinn.
I thought he would appreciate me sharing this photo of him from our trip last weekend to Cincy. Makenna coerced him into riding this.

Ginger, This is great. I am so impressed with your photo scanning abilities and with your darling children. I haven't seen Quinn since Amy's wedding and he has changed so much, a fine looking young man. Makenna is draling. Kindergarten is a big deal for Mom. Can you look at a class list to find out Mo Mo's last name. I sincerely hope that it is Pickles.
Ginger, this is Joe...great post and thanks for blogging!! Quinn looks like quite the kid...how fun.
Hope Makenna and Miss Pickles both are consistent clip-mover-uppers for Mrs G!!
Ginger, All mothers know what it's like to have the kids growing. Matt is leaving for college this week!
You might also note that Makenna has a very cool pink lunch bag with compartments! She simply loved playing with all her school supplies. All little girls love those things!
Hooray for our brand-new kindergarten girl!! She looks right at home at her little table, all sweet and happy and eager to learn. And so glad to see the birthday photo of Quinn as well - he is looking so grown-up and handsome! Thanks for sharing this great post!
Welcome to elementary school, Makenna! What great photos of both the children, and what great work inserting them on the EFB, Ginger. I agree with Gretchen and am very impressed with your work here, too. Thanks for the stories and the re-entry of Mo Mo into Makenna's life! Hope Miss G continues to be a great teacher. All your family news is always appreciated. Thanks for posting it all!!
Thanks for the pictures Ginger. Quinn and Makenna look so happy, especially considering the end of summer.
