Kevin Casey's book of photographs taken in Auburn about 1900 and the same locations about 2000. Unfortunately he doesn't have a photo of the J.W. Kerns house or the lumberyard but he does have the Kelligar house (13th and O). While in Las Vegas, Marge and I viewed the book together and talked for two hours. We didn't even make it through the book. We had so many memories and lots of questions we asked each other. I'm making notes in the copy of our family connections to the photos. It is an incredible reference.

This phone book is incredible. You'll see that the Thigeson and Glen Drug Store has the phone number "2." Young Carl Glen was delighted to have such a useful business number. That was the store number until about 1952 when Auburn got dial telephones.
