I know that many of you have this photo; Aunt Karen, I think I actually got this off of a website you created some time ago. In honor of David related postings, though, I thought I would resurrect it to remind us all about the cousins some 19 years ago at the GWA.
I want to point out that Nathan, to this day, contends that he and David are not wearing matching sweaters. I would also like to point out that Nathan is wrong.
Gretchen, any thoughts?

Ah, the age-old controversy continues in the electronic age. The sweaters look pretty matchy-matchy to me. You all are so darned cute.
And in case anyone wonders who those other kids are, they are also Elys - Mark and Greg Ely, sons of Jim and Linda Ely, and grandsons of Dick and Mary Ann Ely (Eichstadt wedding guests extraordinare)....
I contend this opinion to this day. You might not be able to see from the poor quality of the picture that David's sweater is dark blue while mine is aqua blue. My mother will vouge for me that aqua was my favorite color back in the day. What about those glasses though Mo. Where was the bonnet?
Oh, so they sweaters are slightly different.... I thought that Nathan may have spilled some food on his and it had been washed a few more times than David's!!
You are ALL adorable!!
In the manner in which Gretchen was raised with her sister Lise, the sweaters were the same style but of slightly different color. Not identical. But clearly related.
Great photo, Mo, thanks for posting it!!
